Epcos New CeraDiodes 0603 (SOD-523)

Epcos has extended its range of CeraDiodes by a new type with a typical capacitance of 0.6pf in case size 0603 (semiconductor case SOD-523). So the CeraDiodes from Epcos now comprise two case sizes with a typical capacitance of 0.6pf.The existing CeraDiodes from Epcos are 0402 (Semiconductor case SOD-723.
Both CeraDiodes were developed for the ESD protection of ultra-fast data lines such as for HDMI ( High Definition Multimedia Interface) with data rates up to 10Gbits/s. These CeraDiodes satisfy the requirements of the HDMI 1.3 specification as confirmed by the HDMI 1.3 compliance test.
CeraDiodes can also be used to protect other data lines against ESD pulses, such as USB 1.1/2.0, IEEE 1394a/b, (Giga-)Ethernet or eSATA.
